Woodbourne Avenue | Patcham

About this Project

Patcham is an area of the city of Brighton & Hove, about three miles (5 km) north of the city centre. The clients at Woodbourne Avenue were looking to massively enlarge their living space. We worked closely with Archangels Architects to ensure that this complex project was undertaken to strict specifications.

The project principally involved both a loft conversion and a single story extension which was part under the floor above (the house was three-story and the entrance was in the middle). This extension in particular involved a lot of structural work to support the entire back of the house in order to excavate underneath.

On completion of the loft and extension, the entire house was refurbished including installation of two new bathrooms, hardwood floors throughout, a new kitchen and a roof terrace over the extension.
