About this Project
Filby Builders worked closely with Domain Architects on a substantial extension on this Kensington Place property in the fashionable area of North Laine.
A single story extension with glazed roof was constructed with an internal wall removed to make an open plan kitchen/dining room. Underfloor heating with tiles was fitted throughout the new space. An external patio level with the internal floor was laid and the project was completed with the installation of new kitchen.
This project was a finalist in the prestigious LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017 South East in the ‘Best Extension or Alteration to an Existing Home’ category.
Filby Builders Ltd completed a very complicated glass extension which involved removing the side of my very old house and retro fitting a modern glass extension to it.
They did a fabulous job: their work ethic is exceptional, always on time, always polite and always tidy up at the end of each day.
Their bills are also very reasonable and easy to understand. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
